Daily Pretties

Eat, sleep, hang. Can you tell I'm feeling lazy today? It's dreary, rainy, and cold...a perfect day to do not much of anything at all. So if it was up to me, I'd kick back in my imaginary house (above) and alternate between the three aforementioned activities. You like my place, non?

Sunday Outing

We went on a little outing yesterday afternoon to the mountains. The foliage was spectacular and it literally rained beautiful golden, crimson, and orange-hued leaves. The river was a foaming, churning living thing. A perfect target for little boys with handfuls of stones. A glorious sunset followed us home and I could not help but click away on my camera as we drove through charming towns with glorious examples of southern vernacular. Graceful columned grand dames and tiny cottages, lights aglow as the day receded into night.

All the Basics

A spot for relaxation. A good book. A place to share a meal. The heart of the home...a kitchen. And of course, at the end of the day, all we really want is a cozy place to rest one's weary head. All the basics.

Halloween: A Recap

Although it rained and plans didn't go exactly as, well, planned, my little goblins managed to eek out a fun and spooky night nonetheless. The littlest one could barely contain his excitement. He practiced his "trick or treat," kept his fingers crossed for Smarties, and ran down the street with nary a look back. And best of all, we added two new members to our Boo Crew. The Twinkies came along for the ride, all decked out in their skeletal suits. Man, it's great to be a kid!
