Friday Fixation: Artist Victoria Reichelt

Oil on linen. That's right, I said oil on linen. As in paintings, people. Prepare to be amazed.

There is little I love more in a beautiful interior than a wonderfully inviting, loosely unkempt bookshelf. In fact, we are voracious readers here at casa Head Over Heels. So much so, that you can hardly take a step in our household without tripping over a book. No lie. Hence, you can imagine how enthralled I was when I came across the amazing work of artist Victoria Reichelt. The realism exhibited in her paintings is, well, um unreal. I can not wrap my head around the fact that these are oil paintings and not photographs. What an incredible talent, what insane control, and what an incredible eye for accuracy and detail. Definitely having a wow moment.

I'm curious, are you a bibliophile? What does your bookshelf say about you?

Happy Weekend, friends! Be sure to stop by Monday for a beautiful house tour. This one will surely knock your socks off!

  1. My bookshelf says it is sagging under the weight of too many books piled high upon its melamine shelves...

My most prized possessions besides some family rart and images are my books. Hands down.
