It all seems so effortless, doesn't it. That something French, that je ne sais quoi, that not quite definable, elusive, can't-quite-put-your-finger-on it quality. I don't think I'll solve the mystery in a blog post, but let me just note the key elements; the gorgeous herringbone floors(!), the original beams and fireplaces, the spectacular lighting, and the deft mix of modern furniture housed within this classical framework. Nothing short of ooh la la!

Oh, oh, oh. This might be the best interior I've seen in a long, long while. That lighting. The ceiling beams. The furnishings. So very fabulous. And, yes, effortless.
