Farmhouse Living: "an old-fashioned, newfangled home"

What happens when two stylists with a lot of chutzpah and a little cash set their sights on a farmhouses from the 1800's? Magic, that's what. With a lot of elbow grease and determination they brought this ramshackle cottage back to life and turned it into a simple, stylish and lovely family home.

Boys and Girls

Two unique children's rooms and nary a shred of pink or baby blue in sight, at least not in ways that would be expected. I love that both rooms have brought in bits of vintage goodness to really bring out their understated flair. I'm crazy for that light fixture in the boy's space and how that oh-so-traditional solid bed becomes such a feature in the clean simple room. And as for the little girl's room, well lets just say I would nab that sweet robin's egg blue chair and the toadstool stool in a heartbeat!
And if you're looking for some not run-of-the-mill nursery inspiration, take a look at this.
