Step into my mind.

I was taking a pleasant stroll through one of my favorite blogs recently and I came across an older post which I had somehow missed. The topic was fantasy. Fantasy interiors to be precise. Well Cassie and I seem to have similar flights of fancy flitting about in our heads, because so many of the images she chose resonated with me. Heck, forget resonated, they left me feeling plain ole giddy.
So step into my mind and you'll find, that if my imagination were unrestricted by reality, it would be littered with shelves overflowing with books, rooms lush with verdant flora, beams and crumbly bricks, arches and inky blues, tables casually set for low-key get-togethers, a dizzying multitude of patterned tiles underfoot, nooks and crannies to steal away to, and windows as high and wide and glorious as the eye can see...and then some. Yeah, I think that about covers it all.
Speaking of fantasy, if your dreaming of beautiful pillows, be sure to enter the giveaway sponsored by ALL MODERN. I'm so glad to see a number of new faces visiting. Thanks for stopping by and welcome to Head Over Heels!

I love it there in your mind. These interiors are simply the best. The windows! The space! The ease and simplicity. So perfect.

Ok, so here's the deal. You know atmosphere like no one I ever met.

That pitch perfect moment when seemingly disparate elements come together to create visual symphonies.

You really are brilliant at finding those shots.

Seriously.

I agree with both of the above. You have a superb eye for atmospheric almost ethereal spaces.

Is this your personal style at home?

I love the kitchen and that veranda on those two second-to-last photos... But most of all, I love stepping into the beautiful interiors that you so masterfully put together for us here in your beautiful blog.

love,

Thanks Decor Muse! I wish my home looked like these amazing spaces...remember, I said fantasy. ;0)

I think so much of the appeal of these interiors lies in the grand scale of the architecture and the exotic locales. At home my architecture is neither grand nor my locale exotic, but I do strive to capture that sense of atmosphere and ambiance.

Thanks for stopping in!
