And A Third

Earlier this week I discussed two key ingredients that make a home sweet home, books and art. Here's a third- flora. In other words, the simple house plant. I come from a long line of green thumbs on my mother's side. Unfortunately, mine is more charcoal than chartreuse, but even I can manage to keep a handful alive. I love how plants instantly make a room come to life. Granted the specimens in these beautiful photos are fancier than the lowly ficus, but any touch of verdant flora softens the edges, makes the light dance, and quietly blurs the line between inside and out.

{forgive the lack of credits, I lost the source long ago...but if you recognize these, do let me know so I can give credit where it is due}

Have a beautiful weekend!

Beautiful images. I, too, want a bit of green inside, but I seem to kill every green thing in sight.

I'd give anything to have a green thumb. I have fantasies of a lovely tree in our family room.

I love love love plants, but my house is so dark that I get stuck with snake plants and closet plants.

Doesn't it sound fabulous over here?

I couldn't agree more and plants are such an easy thing to add. I don't know why more people don't have them in their homes.

Wow. It's like those rooms have no walls- the outside is in.

I'd love to duplicate this in my house. I had a knack for plants... until I adopted two cats!
