Random Bits of Love

When you begin with a beautiful foundation it needs little adornment. I kind of love the bare austerity of these spaces, makes you really appreciate the lovely bones. Sometimes I think it takes more talent to just let a space breathe, to let it be, to allow the interiors to shine on their own without all the pomp and circumstance.

So true. I don't know why I am so attracted to black walls. Odd.

so weird! obviously before i read what you wrote here i was looking at these pictures in a different way and i said to myself "look at the bones of these places. you could go in any direction and it would be beautiful".

I always envy these kind of spaces, but it would never work for me...I'm addicted to useless knick knacks and I'll never have enough storage or restraint to achieve such pure beauty....oh well...lovely to look at and dream.

That first one knocked my socks off.

Literally.

I'm now putting them back on and lacing up my sneakers.

is this a message to yourself? because i know you like lots of decoration!
they are absolutely lovely on their own, but I still like a little more color and pattern.

Oh, that simplicity calls to me right now...couldn't have anything to do with my complicated life, could it? :)

This is so beautifully said. Every now and again I want to wallpaper-up something and then take a step back and really look at it...and pass. Good reminder to do that more often. Though it is SO hard! Enjoy the weekend! Marija
