We decided to take advantage of the weather today and make a trip to the zoo. The animals were taking advantage of it as well, all were basking in the afternoon sun. The boys all got to experience their favorites: the first born was all about the snacks, preferably the pretzels, the second born couldn't get enough of the rock climbing, and the little guy was all about the choo choo- "all aboard." For me, it was all about reveling in their excitement.
Formula for a trifecta of happy boys= one part rocks, one part sticks, one part large body of water to throw said rocks and sticks into, and three parts something to climb. Oddly enough, the formula for a nervous nellie mom is the same, who'd a thought!
The Mister took us on a spontaneous little adventure recently. A secret abandoned bridge by the river that none of us had ever visited. The boys were in absolute boy heaven: rocks to throw, branches that magically transformed themselves into swords, and leaves that could be pounded into mulch. Needless to say, they had themselves a good time!
