I want a typewriter so I can do this.

I've really wanted a vintage typewriter (look at that color!) to display in my foyer and have all our guests leave lovely thoughts as reminders of their visits. (Who am I kidding, the most likely use will be my children leaving cryptic messages about what they must.have.now!) I digress, anyway, I love this idea from poppytalk.

Don't you just love this idea? How cool and fun! And the funny thing is, I HAVE an old typewriter! I need to use it instead of just look at it :)

What a great idea! I'm just juvenile enough to want to type dirty words over and over. I would be a terrible guest.

Hello Mara, glad you enjoyed the photos!

Raina, you know I think you would be an awesome guest, dirty words and all. The rule in our house is no word is inappropriate if used in the correct context. So bring on the dirty! ;0)

LOVE it! I have an old typewriter but it doesn't work (yet another of my 'try before you buy' mishaps...). I also love the idea of using rub on decal letters to personalize glasses. I did that with skulls and crossbones at halloween, but it hadn't occurred to me to do it with names. Just brilliant! now all i need is a whole whack of cool friends to invite over, and of course a fab mid-century cabinet to create a bar on!
