Guest Post at From the Right Bank to the Left Coast

Hi you "guys," as my three-year-old would say! Today I am guest blogging at the wonderful home of Alek, who resides at From the Right Bank to the Left Coast, while she is away on vacay in Paris. Come by and visit me there. We'll chat. Pain au chocolat for everyone!

Did you say "chocolat?" I'm there!

P.S. Karly from Design Crisis would flip her lid for that screen.

Yep, I thought of her when I first saw it. I kinda flipped my lid for it too! You think she has bigger muscles than me, or could I take her if we came to blows? ;0)

Um, she's six feet tall. So...

Yeah, I suppose at 5'1 I'd have my work cut out for me, but you never know...I'm pretty fiesty.

I'll just hold onto it until you ladies work out the custody agreement. ;)

You have been doing some SERIOUS blogging over here my dear! Every image is just sending me into fits of ecstasy. How do you find them all!?

Maggie May, I don't know anything about that particular screen, and I'm no DIY goddess, but I think it's do-able. I'm thinking five hollow core doors painted white, some simple hinges from your local hardware store and voila-screen. As for the horses, I know my local copy shop can enlarge images fairly big. I think Kelly Klein, as in the ex Mrs. Calvin, has a pretty amazing photography book out there, hello library. Also, there are now a number of on-line services that can enlarge images and print them on vinyl, canvas, etc. So for not too much dough, I think you could totally recreate this rockin' screen. What do you think?

Thanks Anne! The internet design gods just keep steering me in the right direction. I hope my luck doesn't run out any time soon. :0)

Ok, i can't believe there was a whole battle-over-awesome screen going on while I was completely unawares. Raina, thank you for getting my back, even if your motives weren't completely altruistic.

I have to say, I've seen that screen before and spent many a sleepless night trying to figure out how to recreate it on my own. This is not a lie or an exaggeration in any way. I. Must. Have.

So, what's this about a guest post? Can't I just stay here and look at the picture?

Thanks to both of you for thinking of me!!!!

Hi there Charlie! Thanks so much for your kind comment and I'm so glad you stopped by. Welcome!

Karly- check out response to Maggie May above. Like I said, I ain't no DIY goddess, and maybe I'm naive, but I think that screen is do-able. Also, the Kelly Klein book is a photography book of horse portraits. Just to clarify.

Thanks for stopping by Karly!
