It's easy to idealize what life in the country would be like. In reality, I'm certain that in it's own way, full time country living can be just as stressful as life in the city. And yet, looking at these images I tend to imagine lovely long walks through the meadows, picking beautiful blooms for simple, yet lush bouquets, and leisurely afternoons spent around old farmhouse tables where lunch turns into supper serenaded by an orchestra of cricket song and lit by the glow of fireflies. Call me a dreamer, country living sounds like a rather welcome way of life.

Yes, then call me one, too! Love it.
sooooooo gorgeous!! i am in love with that kitchen. how could anyone want a sleek, modern kitchen after looking at that?
(ok, maybe me after looking at a beautiful one)
I'm all for country living as long I can leave after 48 hours. I'm a city girl through and through.
ahh, stone walls and boots all lined up, need I say more?
crazy for arched doorways!
and that painting over the mantle -- i love it!
You really know how to tell a story with fabulous photos!! I'm loving the country life the way you picture it.
Yes - I'm with Raina. I think I like the *idea* of the country life, but I think I really crave sidewalks and architecture and people... But of course I'm totally drawn to country-inspired design... So. I think I may want it all. :)

There are some times of the year that make country living even more appealing. Right now and during the holidays nothing sounds better with a little cup of cocoa.
oh my gosh just so peaceful & quiet... love all the stones... gorgeous
xoxo
I with you - the older I get, the more appeal country living, or living in a little small town, has!! I know it's not all roses all the time, but the slower pace of life sounds nice!
Oh, and I'll take that stone house - the one with all the stone walls? Yeah, I can move in next month!! ;-)
Beautiful photos. I want the stone house -- especially that entryway with the beamed ceiling. So, so handsome. In my dreamworld, I have both country house and city pied a terre.
I love the kitchen with the painted checker floors.
Great post! I especially love the shot of the brass faucet...
