This one is all about the bones.

When you have a structure this beautiful, it needs little else in the way of adornment. Beautiful furnishings aside, I'm completely enamored with the attention to detail found throughout the rooms of this gorgeous estate. The stunning weathered brick facade, the slabs of time-worn pavers in the entry, the solid, rough-hewn timbers connecting the ceilings from room to room, arched doorways and original tiles. I really love that so many of these original details have in fact survived, and that even in the kitchen and bath these features have been preserved instead of being ripped out in favor of all that is brand new, high-tech, and shiny. Timeless, classic perfection.

OMG beautiful bones at that. The library with that cozy window nook. God I could spend forever there. I love the exposed beams, and the outside is just as catching as the inside!

Gorgeous!!!
I love Spanish influences!

You are so right - when a house, or even a room for that matter, has good "bones" and features, it's simple to decorate because it doesn't really need much!

Unfortunately, I live in a '70's ranch style without these gorgeous features, so my task is a little more difficult...
