After our grand tour of African interiors last week, Catherine of The Shiny Pebble suggested I take a peek at the portfolio of Cape Town designer John Jacob. And I am so glad she did. I really love this designer's ability to meld a more classic/traditional look, almost masculine in feel, with a fresh and current vibe. His interiors are elegant and sophisticated, but still inviting. I can just imagine myself gazing out at the rolling African landscape, admiring the beautiful vistas while my boys explore the vast natural wonders that abound. Any of these beautiful homesteads would certainly be the perfect jumping off point to an unforgettable African adventure. Anyone else care to come along for the ride? Complimentary daydreaming included. ;0)
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!

OK> I was just talking about wanting to go to Cape Town, South Africa yesterday at lunch. My sweet brother-in-law Gavin lives there. We have never visited him there. Got to change that.
The photos, some that I have admired before without knowing the origin, were fabulous. I am going to go look at them again and chase down the link to the designer.
Have a great weekend Nelya.

Amazing! You always take me on the greatest virtual vacation.
I log on and see such wonderful eye candy and take a little break while working away.
Have a great weekend and thanks for putting John Jacobs on my radar.
I figure you'd appreciate him. Great minds...
I so envy those people who go on safaris and exotic trips -- real or otherwise.
I guess I'm just a tidbit too pragmatic for that... Back to eating my peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
Have a great weekend, and thanks for the mention.
