Stop and Smell the Roses {or the pizza dough}

I'm always fascinated by good photography-being able to capture a moment, tell a story, stop time in a sense. This lady, Molly of Orangette, has that gift with both words and pictures. If you've never visited her blog, then you are unquestionably missing out. If you're a foodie it's an amazing treat. But trust me, even if cooking is not your thing, her simple, evocative images, whimsical musings, and lyrical writing will have you hooked. I fell for her blog early on, devoured her book in one fell swoop, and just yesterday got lost in her flickr photostream. These images leave me whispering a quiet, peaceful aaah. You know what I mean?

Wow -- what talent! Stunning images. Each photo is better than the one before. Love the purple flora droppings against that green grass.

Did you know her hubby recently opened a pizza place in Seattle? I wanted to visit before moving but ran out of time. I think they eat well in that household!

these are like a celebration of spring! And your title- reminds me of this time of year- when the trees are flowering and beautiful. And it doesn't last long at all... so smell the roses, I Shall!

I had to stop, I was on "orangette" so often, smelling, tasting, and admiring.
Now I think I will be stalking you...here.
off to smell the roses, or at least run for the roses.
