Getting mushy.

Last night I was gathering some photos together for the grandparents. What should have been a quick run through iphoto turned into an hour long (or two) walk through 2010. I was literally laughing out loud at times, and a tear or two might have dribbled down my cheek at others. Despite the ups and downs of the year, the economic downturn, and all the negativity that abounds, I have at least four reasons ( and truly many more) to thank the big Guy above for the many blessings in my life. I hope you take time this weekend to consider all those in yours and I hope your heart is over-full.

Have a wonderful weekend, friends.

From the Heart

I was searching through my photo files yesterday looking for a kindergarten shot of my 5th grader for his 5th grade yearbook dedication. Eek- 5th grader! Who by the way is about to turn eleven next week and who got an early birthday gift from his overeager daddy yesterday, a cell phone!!! Lord help me. Anyway, all that to say, how the heck do these kids grow up so fast? I mean you bake them, and birth them, and grow them and then you turn around one day and BOOM, somehow, when you weren't looking, in between making lunches, and wiping tushies and snotty noses they go and actually grow up. So, I'm feeling slightly melancholy today, but these photos of my boys sharing a quiet moment on our beach vacation this summer make my weepy heart smile.

Happy Weekend Friends!

He's THE man!

The Man in my life is, at this very moment, upstairs in our bedroom working his bulging muscles installing hardwood floor. That is a testament to his greatness, and generosity, and complete and total selflessness. Seriously, I picked, or should I say I was blessed with, a good one. A top-notch daddy, the best husband in the world, and all around nicest guy you could ever meet, my Mr. P.

Happy Father's Day, we love you beyond words, above all else, Mr. P!
