The Great Outdoors

Stunning landscape architecture from the firm of Page|Duke. I'm amazed with the attention to detail. However, my favorite takeaway from this portfolio may very well be the generous use of green. While I can keep my house plants relatively healthy and alive, my green thumb does not extend to the great outdoors. As much as I love beautiful flowers, the commitment it takes to produce copious, colorful blooms is more than I can squeeze into my schedule. So it is wonderful to see how much texture, variation of color, and design can be achieved with simple green plantings.

Be sure to visit Page|Duke for so much more verdant inspiration.

Modern Master

Amazing attention to detail, an eye for texture and contrast, and absolutely jaw-dropping exteriors...all from the portfolio of Dutch master, Piet Boon.

Crazy Wonderful House

Doesn't this place look like something straight out of a story book? Really, I think magical things happen here. See more of Dorothee Schumacher's wonderful home on the Selby, and do check out the precious farm animals. Like miniature ponies who sidle up to the fireplace whilst munching on carrots. See, I told you, magic.

On another note, keep your fingers crossed for me, friends. I'm off on a scouting adventure tomorrow in hopes of bringing back some amazing MINTY finds. I think ya'll will flip for these. Do check back next week and in the meantime, wish me success.

Happy Weekend!

p.s.- speaking of MINTY, I gave into the midas touch once again. Take a peek at the latest addition to Ye Olde Brass Shoppe. What can I say, I'm weak.
