In The Kitchen

Kitchens are utilitarian, functional, even work horses, but rarely are they sexy. However, this masculine specimen definitely fits the bill. Those floors make my heart race.

Mirror, Mirror on the Wall...

Man, that wall packs a punch! Bold, graphic, dynamic this dining nook is casual elegance at its best. This so could have gone the route of crafty, happy hands. However, that fabulous greige faux bois wallpaper, those kicky stripes, and the vintage-y furniture make for some fine, fine dining. Well played.

Daily Pretty + A PSA (Public Service Announcement)

Just look at that insanely fabulous herringbone floor! And now to breaking news, just in case you were hiding under a rock yesterday, the MiNTY shop is now open and ready to supply you with oodles of vintage goodies. Pop over and pick yourself up a treat or two and remember, Mother's Day is just around the corner.

Elemental.

Raw brass. Bleached wood. Dark slats. Perfect pairings.

On another note, I've succumb. To the allure of Pinterest, that is. I've held out for all this time for fear of losing hours of my life. Well, the fear was warranted, but the promise of beautifully organized inspiration won out. I don't know how diligent a pinner I'll be, but if you're interested, you can follow me here.

Have a wonderful week!

Woody.

And, delightful!

But what would be even more delightful, would be this glorious melange of happy, color, playfulness hanging on those slightly austere walls. This painting, by our very own MINTY artist in residence, Jenny Andrews Anderson (aka mfamb), would be the perfect girly foil to all that woody deliciousness.

Or, if simple, monochromatic, masculine chic is your thing then this spectacular textural piece would look equally at home in the architecturally-rich beauty above.

Better yet, forget the gorgeous room and bring these gorgeous art works home. They are sure to be the perfect finishing touch that will bring your room together.

For additional details and to purchase Jenny's one of a kind art, visit MINTY, here.

Happy Weekend, friends!

Monday Mashup

Yes, it's summer, and yes, I'm lazy and yes, this is as creative a post as I can muster at the moment. You know, just in case you were wondering. Stay cool, homies.

Sensory Overload

Clearly, inspiration can be found everywhere...in color, in nature, in repetition, and geometry, in textiles, and texture, in wide brush strokes and watery droplets. All you have to do is open your eyes.

Have a wonderful weekend!
