Boughed Over

I am completely giddy with glee that I came across this lovely project today. We have a large expanse of empty wall in the basement living room. Hard as I try to be a minimalist and just let it remain barren, it keeps calling to me, crying out for decoration. But until now, I have not been able to commit...wallpaper, giant cork board, chalk wall, art gallery display...these have all been contenders. I think my problem has been solved, how about some lovely fallen branches and a few bits of colorful ribbon for a dramatic, organic display. It might be a temporary fix, but I have a feeling this is exactly what my wall has been crying out for.

oh, you will love having this on your wall. i've never been happier with our holiday decorating.

to answer your question (sorry for the delay, i missed it somehow!) we just used simple white thumbtacks pushed through the ribbon to secure the branches. wonderfully easy. good luck!
