I blush...

The ever so lovely Anne, from City Sage blog fame, was kind enough to mention Head Over Heels as one of her fav blogs in an interview she did with Lynne of Tea For Joy. Well, Anne, a sincere thanks goes out from me to you across this Lil ole Internet. Wow, honestly, you made my week. Be sure to check out all of Lynne's wonderful contributors to "2009 Style Resolutions." Some truly great bloggers have offered equally great insights on style. Thanks again Anne, I blush!

Green with Envy

I totally swiped these images off another blog, and I am not ashamed. They were originally posted by Cassie over at the brilliant Roseland Greene, daily source for all things beautiful.
Back to the above two shots, really and truly, they make me swoon. Not just in a look-at-the pretty-snapshot-on-the-screen kind of way, uh uh, my blood pressure actually soars and I'm sure a brain scan would illicit similar results. Just gorgeous, la la love these!

Boughed Over

I am completely giddy with glee that I came across this lovely project today. We have a large expanse of empty wall in the basement living room. Hard as I try to be a minimalist and just let it remain barren, it keeps calling to me, crying out for decoration. But until now, I have not been able to commit...wallpaper, giant cork board, chalk wall, art gallery display...these have all been contenders. I think my problem has been solved, how about some lovely fallen branches and a few bits of colorful ribbon for a dramatic, organic display. It might be a temporary fix, but I have a feeling this is exactly what my wall has been crying out for.

Groovy, huh? {for Raina}

Here it is...and it lights up from underneath too. It's called the Spidlight armchair and we bought ours, on clearance in the backroom like all good immigrants would, at retromodern. It's definitely kid-proof, which is a key decorating prerequisite around our house.

Note to self: free gift tags!

So many generous, talented individuals out there in blogland. And you just can't beat FREE! It's my favorite word right up there with SALE and 50% off. For the entire list, and it's a biggie, go here. Thank you Bella Dia for sharing. Cheers to the kindness of strangers.

Just leave the key under the mat, I'll let myself in...

I would feel completely at home in any one of these beautifully diverse, inviting interiors. The genius behind these gorgeous rooms is Brad Ford. I happened upon his site this morning and could not keep myself from uttering a little yelp![ok, a big yelp, I don't do things small] All of these rooms just beckon me in. I love the muted color palette, even though I tend towards the bright and color-full, and the understated, quiet beauty of each and every space. The organic touches sprinkled throughout especially call out to me. This is sublime interior design. Bravo!

and if this wasn't enough inspiration, Brad Ford also has an equally brilliant blog here. (holy cow, I feel like I hit the motherload of design inspiration, he is even gracious and generous in sharing his design resources and favorite reads, must. go. look. now.)

Thanks for Sharing

I've only had a moment to explore this new to me blog, A Field Journal, so I know I've only hit the tip of the iceberg , but this one is really something special. Livy's perspective is so fresh, her images are exquisite, and she is selflessly generous with her ideas and inspirations. I can't wait to dive in and explore the rest of this beautiful blog. Oh, and her writing, as we southerners say, "ain't half bad "either. {actually, it's just as lovely as her photos}

Honored to be Mentioned

The lovely Miss Erika of the equally lovely Urban Grace Interiors {the blog!}, had an open call for the cutest dog photo out there in blogland. Well of course the Hersh and the Superstar wanted a shot at the prize. So under serious threat of severe mess-making they made me do their dirty work. And who would have thought, the two BFFs won an honorable mention. Just take a look at all that puppy love!
