Green with Envy

I totally swiped these images off another blog, and I am not ashamed. They were originally posted by Cassie over at the brilliant Roseland Greene, daily source for all things beautiful.
Back to the above two shots, really and truly, they make me swoon. Not just in a look-at-the pretty-snapshot-on-the-screen kind of way, uh uh, my blood pressure actually soars and I'm sure a brain scan would illicit similar results. Just gorgeous, la la love these!

Pure Magic

I imagine some incredibly far-flung Harry Potter-like adventure commencing in this very spot.

Come on in 2009...

{aaaaahhhhh}

{ooooohhhhhh}

{watching the "big apple" fall for the first time} {just remembered: as soon as it was over he exclaimed, "Again!"}

This time last year at Auntie L's house. Seems like we just welcomed in 2008 and now here we go again! Looking forward to many new beginnings this coming new year and can not wait to meet the three precious additions to our family scheduled to arrive in 2009! Wishing a healthy, joyous, wondrous New Year to all!

This site is dangerous if you are anything like myself. Behold some serious decor eye candy, this is no nestle chocolate chip cookie, we are talking Laduree macaroon.

Just leave the key under the mat, I'll let myself in...

I would feel completely at home in any one of these beautifully diverse, inviting interiors. The genius behind these gorgeous rooms is Brad Ford. I happened upon his site this morning and could not keep myself from uttering a little yelp![ok, a big yelp, I don't do things small] All of these rooms just beckon me in. I love the muted color palette, even though I tend towards the bright and color-full, and the understated, quiet beauty of each and every space. The organic touches sprinkled throughout especially call out to me. This is sublime interior design. Bravo!

and if this wasn't enough inspiration, Brad Ford also has an equally brilliant blog here. (holy cow, I feel like I hit the motherload of design inspiration, he is even gracious and generous in sharing his design resources and favorite reads, must. go. look. now.)

Getting in the Mood

Tonight, the Mister and I have a date with Mr. Mraz...ooohh, that sounds a little naughty, ahem, I mean we are going to a concert and, and this is a big AND, we are spending the night in the city! Like at a real. life. grown-up. hotel. NO strollers, diaper bags, cribs, bedtime routines involved. NONE! Can you imagine? I can't actually, we have never spent the night away from all three kiddos at once. I feel sorry for grandma, bless her heart, she is in for a long one.{no, actually, they will probably behave like perfect little angels, go to bed on time, no fuss, and eat every morsel of food she presents them with; they only save the good stuff for mom and dad, right Ellen? ;0)} Oh well, I'm super excited, OBVIOUSLY, thanks for the awesome mini-vacation package honey, now I just have to do all my chores before I can go...
