Just for Fun

I was looking through some of my photo files and just for fun took a peek in a folder dated this day three years ago. The folder contained photographs from an outing to the aquarium that had just opened in the city. The boys were then 6, 4, and the youngest not quite 1. Wow! Three short years ago, but how they've changed. Now they are almost, 10, 8, and 4. We are starting to enter double digits...it's a brave new world!

Wish I had their Stamina

...there was rockin' out on the drums

...much relaxing and airing out of little piggies

...ringing in the New Year with a bang
...braving the cold to watch the sparks fly

...they're still up, all of them

...lounge act
...hustling grandpa

...we heart our little twinkies

...go granny, go granny...gangsta style in the 'burbs

...sharing some love

...uh oh, there's a monster in the house
...they climbed the furniture

...knocking down the pins

...climbing the walls, literally

...oh lawdy, bless her heart, this is what twins look like

...mmmm Daddy's grilled olive bread, one piece down 10 more to go

These kids of mine are certainly up for a party, literally up, until 1:00am that is. We had a small, impromptu celebration in the basement and it turned into a full throttle bash...it was a great way to ring in the New Year. Welcome 2009!

Come on in 2009...

{aaaaahhhhh}

{ooooohhhhhh}

{watching the "big apple" fall for the first time} {just remembered: as soon as it was over he exclaimed, "Again!"}

This time last year at Auntie L's house. Seems like we just welcomed in 2008 and now here we go again! Looking forward to many new beginnings this coming new year and can not wait to meet the three precious additions to our family scheduled to arrive in 2009! Wishing a healthy, joyous, wondrous New Year to all!

Men {second installment}

Friday night found us at home, doing a whole lot of nothin', which is a rare occurrence around these parts. I walked into the keeping room to find all four of my men (boys) simultaneously glued to the television. Giada was on and oh yeah, she has THAT kind of affect on them.

All the sudden the first born announced that we should make pizza. So off we went, he an I, to the grocery store for ingredients. When we returned the Mister had the grill all fired up and on went our dough. Everyone decided on their own toppings and it was at this point that the first born said he wanted "fresh basil and kalamata olives" on his. Well you could have shot me on the spot! This kid subsists off of peanut butter and has for as long as I can remember.

But he ate that pizza with such fervor, I thought he was going to inhale it. Every last bite, every last olive and basil leaf consumed. I guess it's no accident that Giada is filmed from the waist up with numerous close-ups of her, ahem, voluptuous decolletage (read: boobies, as my 3 year old would say)! Men, no matter what age, have the same appetite! ;0)
