My favorites combine sleek modern functionality peppered with a bit of old world, such as a beautifully hewn wooden floor, a time-worn industrial light fixture, a vintage poster, a delightfully re-purposed cabinet, or hand-painted tiles from another time and place. All these seemingly disparate elements come together to make one tasty dish, don't you think?
