More Great Art and Footstools

Once again, I'm all about the art, especially the Baechler in the dining nook. However, it's also important to note that those 80's footstools are teasing me with their toasted marshmallow-y leather yumminess. Shame on you stools, shame on you.

Transported

Sigh. I've been transported by these photographs. I'm uncertain of the destination, but I like it just the same. In fact, I don't think it would be a stretch to call it my happy place. And if I could literally insert myself into that first image, well I'd be a happy, happy girl. Yes indeedy!

Friday Fixation: That chair

...and that gorgeous stack of firewood and the overall cozy plop-down-and-savor-that-steaming bowl-of-soup vibe. Beautiful styled and perfectly inviting.

Happy Weekend all! I hope you get to engage in some of the above!

Daily Pretty {and I want}

So I came across this lovely image the other day and fell hard for all the details. The bit of grannified velvet on the modern base of that curvy chair against that fabulous indigo cow parsley wallpaper. Yessiree, I.Fell.Hard. And then lo and behold today I came across the very same image on this blog and guess what, the chair is for sale. Too bad that it resides in Sweden! Dang. And I thought the gods were giving me a sign. Still, it makes for a lovely Daily Pretty.

It's a Scandinavian Thing

Weathered, white, touches of black, warm woods...I don't know if these are Danish, Swedish, or otherwise, but I can hear the rustling of the birch trees and taste the crisp, cool air. It's a Scandinavian "thing," I think.

In the Kitchen

Be it shiny and new or rustic and patinated these kitchens all have their own distinct, and dare I say delicious, flavor. My favorites combine sleek modern functionality peppered with a bit of old world, such as a beautifully hewn wooden floor, a time-worn industrial light fixture, a vintage poster, a delightfully re-purposed cabinet, or hand-painted tiles from another time and place. All these seemingly disparate elements come together to make one tasty dish, don't you think?

Park Your Seat Here

Oh lonely little chair, would you like to come home with me?

Better yet, I could move in and keep you company!

Warning: Here I Go Again {venturing into dangerous territory}

Sigh...I looked out the window and saw restraint waving at me from across the street. I just couldn't control myself, again, after strolling through the beautiful portfolio of photographer Ruy
Teixeira. Aren't these just captivating? And the variety is what really captured my attention. Each home and space is, I'm certain, as unique as its inhabitants. Which one would you most love to occupy?
Good thing we're rolling into the weekend because I fear I could sit here all day and get lost in these images. Speaking of weekends...a happy one to you all. Enjoy!
