Juju

Ah, the ever elusive Juju. If you are a hoarder like me, there is always that something special you are on the hunt for. This feathery headdress is at the tippy top of my list. Of course, being that I am cheap, as well as a hoarder, I want to pay pocket change not top dollar. So I continue to search and covet. But if you are ready to drop some serious change and patience is not your virtue, nab this beauty from Table Tonic. Don't you just love that fabulous all white vignette!

Hey brother, can you spare $1,195?

I'm not much for sartorial fantasies, but a pretty shoe gets me every single time.

Shut up.

Seriously, is your heart beating a little (a lot!) faster after viewing that display of deliciousness? Mine is positively racing. This line of utterly amazing sconces, lamps, and accessories comes from Matthew Studios and the materials are absolutely exquisite. From lucite to malachite, natural python to shagreen, they have it all. Not to mention the stunning rocks and minerals! Ok, I'll mention them...we are talking amethyst, gypsum, quartz, citrine, smoky black quartz, and turquoise. Seriously, I have died and gone to lamp heaven. Deep breaths, people. But, my favorite of all might just be that agate and brass side table. It is sublime perfection. Just the right mix of organic and glam. Bravo, Matthew Studios. Bravo.

I WANT that peacock.

Badly.

I know some people find taxidermy appalling, but, clearly, I am not some people.

So lo and behold, look what's hanging out on Atlanta's Craigslist.

Seriously. Tell me it was not meant to be. A peacock. Perfectly preserved. And, only...$995. Dammit. Worth every penny too, if you ask me. Now I just have to convince Mr. P that it was all his idea. Yeah, not happening.

On my Radar

Have you paid a visit to Serena and Lily's fabulous Bazaar? I love to peruse their unique finds, especially the beautifully curated art selection. At the top of my list are my friend Michelle's spectacular paintings. I'm completely enthralled with the inky blues in the piece below.

And how gorgeous are these exotic treasures! This Nigerian Chieftain chair is covered in intricate glass beads from top to bottom.
While this x-stool, which is high on my list of wants, sports a vibrant batik from Bali.

It's rare that I post fashion on Head Over Heels, but these qualify as wearable works of art as far as I'm concerned. Spotted on Julie's wonderful blog, Belle Vivir, these hand painted, one-of-a-kind, silk tees from The Silk Tee Dot, blow my mind. Stunning.

Again, off topic, but I couldn't resist sharing these beautifully sculptural, intricate jewelry pieces with you. My oh-so-stylish friend Susie sent me the link to A Peace Treaty and I about fell out of my chair. Each piece is handmade and truly exquisite in its workmanship. I dare you to find something this unique and so reasonably priced.

Last but not least, a little shiny hammered magic from that cutie, Nate Berkus. From his line for HSN, comes the handcrafted Orbit lamp. Hello sexy brass base and navy linen shade. What a fabulous pairing!
So there you have it. My wish list just keeps growing fatter by the minute. However, I'm not a greedy girl and I'm happy to live vicariously. Someone buy one of these goodies and then send me pictures.

Happy Weekend, ya'll and happy shopping!

Want.

At first sight I presumed this was a bracelet, which would have been fabulous as well. However, upon further inspection it turns out this beauty is a ring. A sexy one at that. Set with a single white diamond in a beautiful brushed gold finish, this Gatsby ring from Finn would make an extra special, unique, and unusual wedding band. But hey, who am I kidding, this girl is already married and would happily sport it on her right hand as well.

Get yours at Barneys, here, and be sure to check out the entire line of Finn jewelry here.

The "It" Chair

Rarely does a piece of furniture leave me absolutely speechless. This one has. Absolutely. Speechless. Enjoy the silence.

Want.

With six sofas and/or daybeds in our house at last count, I certainly can not justify this purchase. But, I want it all the same. Just look (as for me, I'm gawking) at this dhurrie upholstered beauty I just spotted from Wisteria. Black and white diamonds, no two alike. I'm sold. Someone buy this, please, and then invite me over for cocktails. I'll be sure to bring champagne to celebrate appropriately!

To all of my friends in the States, Happy 4th!

Designer's Portfolio: {Nathan Turner}

Love the mix of traditional furniture pieces with the gorgeous colorful textiles, art, and photography.

This one is particularly delicious. Can't you imagine an intimate dinner by candlelight or an extended brunch on a sunny Sunday morning, french doors thrown wide open?

There are those glorious textiles again. What a collection!

Ugh, the floors. The floors!

And you know I'm a sucker for those wood stumps playing a supporting roll as extra seating.

If you happen to be as smitten with the look of these lovely interiors as I am, a visit to Nathan Turner's eponymous shop will leave you reeling. Just be forewarned, the sticker shock might knock you out, but there's no shortage of eye candy!
