Badly.

I know some people find taxidermy appalling, but, clearly, I am not some people.

So lo and behold, look what's hanging out on Atlanta's Craigslist.

Seriously. Tell me it was not meant to be. A peacock. Perfectly preserved. And, only...$995. Dammit. Worth every penny too, if you ask me. Now I just have to convince Mr. P that it was all his idea. Yeah, not happening.

Give Her Money, She is Pretty

She had me sold at "cheap as farts" and "just for shits and giggles," but don't underestimate my buddy Jenny over at My Favorite and My Best, this lady has some serious talent. Like Talent with a capital T. Jenny has been running a super popular series of posts where a reader writes in with a craigslist decorating wish list and poof, just like that, their dreams are realized. Take the above table as an example. A reader requested some furniture for her porch area, you know, to kick back, lounge, entertain and amongst so much awesomeness was this sweet find. $50 smackaroos for a fabulous, probably one of a kind, table that would make for a great bar set up. And just in case you can't see past the dust, I found this sexy vintage room featuring a virtual twin console table. Now you see the potential, dontcha. A veritable dead-ringer. So hightail it to MFAMB and for a mere $25 Jenny will make all of your craigslist dreams come true.

Help Me Out Design Peeps

So I need your help friends, you smart and resourceful brainiacs. OK, no more buttering up. I went out on a mission today to reunite myself with the chairs above. I was sure that we had been separated at birth, but alas, it was not meant to be. I was head over heels for them when I spotted them on craigslist, but they showed signs of a little too much love in person. Nonetheless, if someone was willing to resuscitate them I think they could look amazing. So if you're a local and are interested in this twosome, shoot me an email and I'll introduce you, tout de suite.

Now on to my plea for help. After passing up the chairs, I spotted the rug above. And I fell for it. Hard. It's a good bit more moolah than I would like to pay, but it's pulling at my heartstrings. I have never seen one quite like it. It is advertised as vintage and I think it is. The condition is slightly worn, but still in very good shape. The photos do not do justice to the colors. They are bright and beautiful. The design is raised all over, sort of crewel-like and it appears to be wool. The genius, La Lampshade, suggested it may be needlepointed by hand, and I would have to agree. Now, has anyone seen anything like it before? Know where I can do some comparison shopping perhaps? Any information would be greatly appreciated. I know one of you design addicts can hook me up with some details. So come on now, spill the beans!
