Artist Claudio Bravo

You know how you spot an image and then follow a link and by the time you're all done you're not sure how you arrived at your final destination. Well, I spotted this beautiful bedroom in Sara Ruffin Costello's latest article for the WSJ and just had to see more of this home. Unfortunately, I couldn't locate more images online, however the wild goose chase led me to discover the work of artist Claudio Bravo.

Bravo, a Chilean artist, lived and worked in Morocco. Here are but a few of his amazing hyper-realist masterpieces. Are you as fascinated as I am by by the perfect depictions of everyday objects. I literally want to crawl into one of these beautiful paintings.

Making Me Tingly

These images are totally doin' it for me. Oh yeah. The colors, the shapes, the layering. Do you think I need to see a doctor for my condition? Makes me want to get a paint brush out and get to work.

Have you paid a visit to Serena and Lily's fabulous Bazaar? I love to peruse their unique finds, especially the beautifully curated art selection. At the top of my list are my friend Michelle's spectacular paintings. I'm completely enthralled with the inky blues in the piece below.

And how gorgeous are these exotic treasures! This Nigerian Chieftain chair is covered in intricate glass beads from top to bottom.
While this x-stool, which is high on my list of wants, sports a vibrant batik from Bali.


It's rare that I post fashion on Head Over Heels, but these qualify as wearable works of art as far as I'm concerned. Spotted on Julie's wonderful blog, Belle Vivir, these hand painted, one-of-a-kind, silk tees from The Silk Tee Dot, blow my mind. Stunning.

Again, off topic, but I couldn't resist sharing these beautifully sculptural, intricate jewelry pieces with you. My oh-so-stylish friend Susie sent me the link to A Peace Treaty and I about fell out of my chair. Each piece is handmade and truly exquisite in its workmanship. I dare you to find something this unique and so reasonably priced.

Last but not least, a little shiny hammered magic from that cutie, Nate Berkus. From his line for HSN, comes the handcrafted Orbit lamp. Hello sexy brass base and navy linen shade. What a fabulous pairing!
So there you have it. My wish list just keeps growing fatter by the minute. However, I'm not a greedy girl and I'm happy to live vicariously. Someone buy one of these goodies and then send me pictures.

Daily Pretty {a duo}

"That pitch perfect moment when seemingly disparate elements come together to create visual symphonies." Isn't that beautiful? A friend of mine paid me a compliment the other day and I was so taken with this sentence, I've been mulling it over in my mind ever since. Just letting the lovely words roll around in my mouth. She's rather articulate, isn't she. Anyway, the topic was atmosphere, not of the weather variety, but instead the kind found indoors. You know, that room that just captures your heart, that elusive something which you just can't put your finger on. But it's there, you know it's there. Kinda leaves you (me) breathless.

Painterly Interiors

Wouldn't you love to climb right into these bright, colorful, energetic illustrations rendered by the oh-so-talented Bella Foster? I just love these happy rooms and all the fun details that jump out of these gorgeous watercolor paintings. What an amazing art wall they would make grouped together in a tight grid or let loose in a quirky arrangement.

I love a beautiful photograph, especially a beautiful photo of a beautiful room. So these are a bit of a departure, but I love the mood they evoke and the unique way in which they capture a moment in life.
