"Katrina Patina"

I love a happy ending, who doesn't. And when that happy ending takes place in one of my favorite cities, well, all the better. This lovely New Orleans home didn't actually survive the devastation of Katrina, but thankfully the homeowners did. Despite the devastation that ensued, they returned to the Crescent City and built a new cottage where their previous home once stood. The aftermath of Katrina took a toll on their home, their livelihood, even their marriage, yet they persevered. Like I said, I love a happy ending...especially when it looks as lovely as this.

Even though I am more into modern interiors, i could not help but like the story and really like the end result. It looks as if it has been there for ages.
