Winner Winner Chicken Dinner

Looking at my photos you'd think I do nothing other than drive to and fro from one soccer practice/game to another.  Well friends, you would be correct and Mother's Day was no exception.  In fact, the middle child promised me a championship medal for mom's day and boy did he and the team deliver.  Proud mama here for sure.

The best brotherly cheer squad on earth.

Hope your Mother's Day was all blue skies and sunshine, as well!

P.S.- here's a fun, new-to-me discovery for printing those ever-multiplying Instagram pics.  I came across this easy to use app, Printicular, this weekend.  It's billed as "the most convenient way to print your Instagram, Facebook, Flickr, Dropbox and Camera Roll at Walgreens."  I picked up my first order today and love the fun 4 x 4 format.  I feel a new addiction developing...so be forewarned.

Game On.

It's soccer Saturday.  Heck, around here, it's soccer everyday.  We are finally coming out of the winter doldrums and the forecast calls for 73 beautiful degrees.  Hello sunscreen!

And in case you were wondering about the photo above, yes, it was a goal.

Happy almost Spring, friends.

Happy New Year!

Hellooooo!  And Happy New Year!  Long time no talk.  I'm not back to blogging, alas, no time as the threesome below has been keeping me busy nonstop, but if for no one other than myself, I try to document a snapshot of my offspring at least once a year.  If you have children then you know how difficult it is to get even one good image of a smiling, cooperative child.  However, if you have upwards of one child, well, it's almost impossible to get said shot.  See proof below.

Nonetheless, looking at my boys goofing around, I'm reminded as always to count my blessings and, truth be told, I think I like the blurry, fuzzy, slightly out of focus shots the best.  After all, life doesn't stand still and clearly, neither do my threesome.

And yes, in case you were wondering, this one is almost always the culprit.

Happy New Year, friends.  I hope 2013 brings you all joy, peace, and blessings too numerous to count.

Guess Who's SIX!

Impossible, but true. Right from the get-go he surprised us with his blond hair and hasn't stopped wowing us since. His boundless energy, effervescent personality, inimitable smile, athletic prowess, superstar dance moves never cease to amaze me. We love you little big boy and are truly blessed to watch you grow and blossom into the most astonishing human being. Happy Birthday, J!

He's The Man!

No, there's nothing wrong with your vision, and the photo is not all fuzzy, it's just that I'm all misty-eyed. It's hard to stay focused when I'm thinking about my Mr. P. He's the center of our universe, our earth's core and the most wonderful father and husband that I could ever have hoped for. Happy Father's Day, honey, we love you beyond all words and reason.

p.s.- thanks for walking the dog.

Circa 1973

Yes, this is me, the wee one in white some 38 years and one day ago. Yesterday was my birthday and while I'm generally not one to whoop it up on these occasions, my family, as usual, wouldn't let me lay low.

Before the sun was even up, I found this birthday greeting in my inbox. The adorable munchkin is one half of my doubly sweet twin nephews, who themselves are about to celebrate their milestone second year. I love the emphatic "No Happy Birthday!" while my poor sister is pleading for cooperation. You go Ari!

As the sun rose and my threesome awoke I was the recipient of this utterly perfect birthday card presented by the middle child on behalf of himself and his brothers.

Note the "good at cleaning" notation. Oy. Perhaps I need to re-evaluate my priorities!

And then there was the gift from my Mister P. The craigslist find that would be mine. Say hello to my new lovuh, er, I mean my new credenza. Please ignore the hot mess that is my garage and check out the hotness of this vintage beauty, circa 1974.

Lastly, there was cake. Lots of cake. Because when you are 38 and grey hairs are cruelly beginning to make their presence known, the last thing you do is say no to cake.
