He Superstar, Me Paparazzi

Don't get me wrong, it's not all unicorns and butterflies around here. He can be a HUGE pain in the @*s, think exorcist, oh yeah, we have those kinds of days on occasion. BUT, when he's like THIS, oh my goodness, I melt and would follow him to the ends of the earth and back again, shooting photos along the way of course. Two was a particularly good year for the third-born.

Come on in 2009...

{aaaaahhhhh}

{ooooohhhhhh}

{watching the "big apple" fall for the first time} {just remembered: as soon as it was over he exclaimed, "Again!"}

This time last year at Auntie L's house. Seems like we just welcomed in 2008 and now here we go again! Looking forward to many new beginnings this coming new year and can not wait to meet the three precious additions to our family scheduled to arrive in 2009! Wishing a healthy, joyous, wondrous New Year to all!

This is why I had kids...

First night of Hanukkah, gift giving has commenced. The second born opens his gift and then comes up to me and the mister:

S: Thank you for my present.

Us: You're welcome, do you like it?

S: I love it...but I love being with my family even more!

Aaahh, that kid melts me into a pile of slush every. single. time.

Contagious

Lately we've had a bit of a hard time with the three-year-old. He is definitely smack dab in the middle of the terrible threes. Sometimes when he is having "a moment," I could pull my hair out. But then there are times like this. The epitome of a happy-go-lucky little boy. Gloriously contagious!

Hhmmff

The Third Born's new favorite refrain around here, "Mommy Soooo Aw-full!" I guess you can't please everyone. And anyway, it's better than his previous way of reprimanding me which was peering at me with squinty angry eyes and exclaiming, quite loudly, "Mommy Bad Boy!" That one always p*ssed me off. You'd figure since I am the only female in the house, he could at least get my gender right.

Budding Architect

"Mama, show me"- {translation} Mama come with me, I want to show you something. The youngest had this waiting for me in the basement the other morning. He was so proud of himself for creating this cityscape. Even the two older brothers were impressed. Budding architect, perhaps?

Bedhead

First I hear "mom," then "Mama?", then MAMA! As I walk up the stairs to his bedroom the sense of urgency behind the door quickens, "Mama, me all done, me no more sleep!" And then I see this...
