Slumber

This time of year, as the temperatures drop, the instinct to hibernate sets in amongst the animal world. Even we humans are not immune to this instinct and so we answer the siren call of sleep by seeking out a lofty, layered, come-hide-under-my-covers perfectly outfitted bed. After all, who are we to snub a toasty warm interior that invites lazing around, snuggling, and all manner of nesting?

Just yesterday morning, after the older boys were off to school, the little one awoke a touch too early for my preference. I gently scooped him up and carried him back to my bed, entertaining hopes that in his still sleepy state he might drift back off to dreamland. Lo and behold, he did and I managed to sneak a few z's alongside that sweet little body. What a luxury. Truly, few things can compare to such precious, fleeting moments.

So here are a few dreamy bedrooms to incite your own visions of bliss. Sleep tight.

As you might imagine, you had me at the first pic! And, yes, treasure those moments with those little sweeties. It goes so fast. xoxox g.

Beautiful inspiration, I have to save every image in my inspiration folder! My little son is a true early bird so I know that feeling. Unfortunately I usually cannot go back to sleep after he wakes up, but I like lying next to him. Really precoius moments!

I could use a good slumber right about now! Great images -- there is nothing like a luxuriously cozy bed, especially when you have a little snuggler with you!

dreamy images. and it's amazing that with all the offerings out there, an all-white bed is perhaps the most appealing.
i cuddled in bed with my 11 year old last night. i don't like thinking that one day he'll be too old/big for that.
{...and thanks much for the link and mention!!} :)

That top, dark image speaks to me far more deeply than all the rest.
