Another one bites the dust...

{image via wondertime}

So I was just checking in on the fabulously creative Amy at doobleh-vay and read of yet another magazine shutting down. This time it's Wondertime, not one you hear of on design-y blogs, but I had a subscription to this great parenting-type magazine and really enjoyed the stories and especially the excellent photographs. So sad that things continue to slide in this direction. That's two subscriptions in a matter of days. What is the future of print?

For an excellent discussion and many noteworthy comments check out Please Sir, here.

*SIGH*, Happy Weekend, nonetheless.

{p.s.- if you've got a moment, stop by doobleh-vay and give Amy some love, she was to have an article published in Wondertime. I think she is a fantastic writer and an all around incredibly inspiring mom!}

I blush...

The ever so lovely Anne, from City Sage blog fame, was kind enough to mention Head Over Heels as one of her fav blogs in an interview she did with Lynne of Tea For Joy. Well, Anne, a sincere thanks goes out from me to you across this Lil ole Internet. Wow, honestly, you made my week. Be sure to check out all of Lynne's wonderful contributors to "2009 Style Resolutions." Some truly great bloggers have offered equally great insights on style. Thanks again Anne, I blush!

I've been dumbfounded, left speechless, and now I'm spellbound!

...those floors make my heart flutter

...this is the couch of my dreams

...perfectly imperfect in every way

...lookey there, I have those very Panton chairs, does that make me as cool as these people? (sadly, I fear not)

...the wallpaper, the rug, and that amazing chest...SWOON

... serenely beautiful, and I've always wanted that Ingo Maurer chandelier

...simple, lovely

...love the marble, love the wood table, but really, all I can think of is the constant giggling which that fine art photograph would elicit over cheerios, every morning, at my house...all I would hear would be numerous whispers of "boobies!"

...OMG...is that a swing in the dining room?

...why not, when the dining room is in the most incredible STABLE that there ever was...lucky horses

...peace and quiet

...those plates take it from functional to sublime

...light and shadow

...nothing quite like green after a rainfall

...it's a chalkboard, what else matters...actually those fabulous pull out drawers are painted in chalkboard paint as well, and labeled

...bookshelf lust
Okay, the coffee's brewing... as if I need anymore stimulation...
{by the way, a little bird we fondly call Mrs. Obvious, oh so kindly reminded me to check on this site, she resides at If The Lampshade Fits and she is ten shades of fabulous, no make that twelve. Anyway, If you haven't been there, go.now.shoo.scoot!}

I'm dumbfounded...

I was going to divvy up this photographer's work into multiple posts, but I just could not keep myself from clicking on "add image." Her work is so prolific, interesting, and entrancing, I am completely floored.

Formula for a trifecta of happy boys= one part rocks, one part sticks, one part large body of water to throw said rocks and sticks into, and three parts something to climb. Oddly enough, the formula for a nervous nellie mom is the same, who'd a thought!
