...maybe the day would be better spent here. Dress up, anyone?{image via Elle}
I'm a fan of white, but all the more so when it involves a playful pop of color. I love the rich, dark wood floors in this shot. They really ground the vignette. But of course, my favorite part is the painted brick and the delicious grouping of artwork perfectly arranged to compliment the simple interior. This is white done right!

I'm not sure what to call this marriage of styles, but I know I like it. A lot. I suppose this is what happens when Southern grandeur collides with Belgian austerity and for good measure a pinch of organic, a dash of vintage, and a smidgen of industrial chic is thrown in to the mix. Yum! It makes for a delicious design stew.
I guess I have kitchens on the brain. This one has some great bones. Exposed brick, check, salvaged pine pocket door, check, vintage industrial stools, check.
The red is really working for me here. It's like that perfect little accessory that makes the outfit.

These kitchens just ooze charm. They exude a homey sensibility that I just love and is sometimes lacking in our modern, stainless steel-clad shrines to perfection.
The size of that grand door, the woodwork, those swoopy built-in seats...makes my heart go pitter pat, in rapid fire mode!
