On Second Thought...

...maybe the day would be better spent here. Dress up, anyone?

Yo

Just popin' in to say hello! Busy, busy day here. Wish I were relaxing on this swingin' bed instead. I can't resist a pretty porch, must be a southern thing. Catch ya later, have a wonderful day!

White-On

I'm a fan of white, but all the more so when it involves a playful pop of color. I love the rich, dark wood floors in this shot. They really ground the vignette. But of course, my favorite part is the painted brick and the delicious grouping of artwork perfectly arranged to compliment the simple interior. This is white done right!

Greenish, blueish, bit o' rust

How's that for some color!

Le Love

I'm not sure what to call this marriage of styles, but I know I like it. A lot. I suppose this is what happens when Southern grandeur collides with Belgian austerity and for good measure a pinch of organic, a dash of vintage, and a smidgen of industrial chic is thrown in to the mix. Yum! It makes for a delicious design stew.

Monday Morning Pretty

I adore the sun-washed, weather-bleached feel of these spaces. So much wood, yet the rooms manage to feel light and airy and not at all imposing or overly serious. The color palette impresses me most, so much character via texture even though the spaces are rather monochromatic. Happy Monday morning!

Don't you wish you were invited?

Love everything about this image- the festive atmosphere, the whimsical colors, and of course the room itself!

Pure and Simple.

I guess I have kitchens on the brain. This one has some great bones. Exposed brick, check, salvaged pine pocket door, check, vintage industrial stools, check.

{yowza, I just noticed this was post numero 300, can you say someone is spending too much time on el computero!}

Saw this, like it, that's all

The red is really working for me here. It's like that perfect little accessory that makes the outfit.

In the kitchen: vintage

These kitchens just ooze charm. They exude a homey sensibility that I just love and is sometimes lacking in our modern, stainless steel-clad shrines to perfection.

Daily Pretty

The size of that grand door, the woodwork, those swoopy built-in seats...makes my heart go pitter pat, in rapid fire mode!
