Daily Pretty

I'm head over heels for this what-I'm-certain-is-custom banquette. The color selection is amazing, the velvet goodness--divine, the nailhead detail--subtle perfection. I'm also more than a little in love with the wee stool. Now the only question is, how do I make it mine?!?

Living Large in a Small Space

I'd be willing to live within a postage stamp size footprint for a view like that, wouldn't you? If you need a little more convincing, what if I told you the expansive rooftop vistas were of Rome. This attic nest is the home of artist Ursula Franco and is indeed perched above the city centre of Rome. It's instantly evident that an artistic soul resides within these walls. I love the carefree mix of elements, the explosion of color and beautiful forms, treasures in every nook and cranny, a delicious bohemian stew. I imagine, at night, perhaps all lit up by candlelight, this place must be magical.

If you're in the mood for a little more small space magic, check out Maria's great post on this beautiful and simple Swedish apartment. And I know we all remember Zach Motl's fabulous take on small living in the big apple. But just in case you need a refresher, check it out here.

On the Road Again

We are on our way to see Mick the Mouse. Driving at this very moment,
in fact. The boys are happily engrossed in Sherlock Holmes, the
Mister is being entertained by his iPod and I am
surfing the web via my iPhone. Isn't technology grand!

After days (and days and days) of laundry and ironing I'm bewitched by
this image. A quiet moment caught on film.

Have a great weekend, friends.
